Look at your state, they all have different rules on how to become a delegate. Some states already have started the process and it would be too late to become a delegate there.
This site is for info, add it if you have some, organize here and ask questions if you don't understand. Hopefully with the millions of Trump supporters the answer will be provided.
Welcome!
Ted Cruz is trying to steal Trump Delegates, how can he do this you ask? Each state has its own rules, but most states have a convention process that starts at a county level, then district and finally a state convention.
Each county holds a convention and they have to post the time, place and date usually in a newspaper publication within a required period of time. Those who show up to the convention have to be a registered voter and cannot be a member of another political party. Those who show up to the convention rule or run the convention because they have the most supporters, they elect a County Convention Secretary and Chairperson. The rules are approved by the body of the convention and then delegates are elected to the state convention. In addition a separate congressional district convention is held at a later date where actual delegates to the national convention are awarded, along with electors (the electoral votes for the general election) .
Finally, each county sends their delegation to the State convention where they again vote for the state convention chair, secretary, rules etc. and they also vote for the delegates to the national convention, these delegates are made up of delegates from around the state.
So how does Cruz steal Trump delegates again? Well if he is organized he floods the county and district and state convention with his supporters and those supporters vote in his delegates and place them in Trump's position. As the rules stand now, they would have to vote on the first vote at the national convention for Trump, but if Trump doesn't get to the magic number, then they could flip as delegates for Cruz (Stealth delegates) on the second vote. This is an old tactic. Ron Paul came in a very close 3rd in Iowa in 2012, but he won all the delegates (as a matter of fact, Rand Paul in 2016 who received 5% of the vote probably has 25% of the delegates in Iowa this year because his supporters stayed after the beauty contest vote and became delegates to the state convention.)
Think of this as a Trojan Horse (it's Trump on the outside but Cruz on the inside)
How do we beat this, we spread the word through Facebook, blogs etc. to organize and to show up in huge number to your local county convention. Time is running out, we must do this nobody else is going to. Sign up now and make sure Trump becomes the next President.
